The students must burn midnight oil in curricular and extracurricular activities and thus one day their signatures will be called autographs, says VC.
ONLINE REPORT: – Department of Tourism & Hospitality conducted an event of Entrepreneur Day in Hazara University. The purpose of the Day was to attract the university students towards the department and to develop practical skills in students. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of Hazara University (HU) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees was the chief guest. Registrar of HU Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hussain and Head of the Department also accompanied him.
The entrepreneur Day in the department started at 10:00 am. Different stalls were arranged by the students which included khattay meethay golgappay, cocktails, cheesy popcorns, sweet and s our, fast food, heena corner, flowers and greetings, general product stall, Kashi and Hari handicrafts, students’ clothes and BBQ. Most of the males and females attracted towards golgappay and BBQ. Some students moved towards cheesy popcorns while other wanted to eat fast food. The aroma of different foods spread everywhere.
The Vice Chancellor HU visited different stalls and showed much interest in it. He tasted different foods like fast food, BBQ and liked it. He said that he felt much happy to see such a colourful event in the university and appreciated the hard work of the Head of the Department, staff and students.
Talking to The Campus Observer, Mr. Asif Khan (HOD) said,” All these stalls reflect the efforts of male and female students of the department”. “I want to appreciate the hard work of entire department for arranging such a huge event in Hazara University and I hope this event will create awareness among the students of the University about the Tourism”, he added.
One of the students asserted, “I ate golgappay and BBQ, both were very tasty and I also bought an outfit for my mother”. One of the female students said that she had bought cone Mehndi and shawl for her friend”.
The programme continued till 4:00 pm. A large number of faculty members, employees and students from entire university visited Entrepreneur Day’s event.
